Announcing Parsec’s Events Partnership With Ubisoft

We love the smell of games in the summer. Our team has always spent conference season as fans watching the game industry, unpacking the small details in game reveals, feverishly refreshing conference news for something new, and getting ready to debate our GOTY come the fall release time.

This year, we couldn’t be more excited to announce that we got to play a bigger part in the summer game season in partnership with Ubisoft, one of the world’s leading game creators and publishers.

Our technology facilitated remote demonstrations of some of Ubisoft’s most hotly anticipated titles, giving journalists and VIPs their first experiences with GOTY-candidates Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion as part of Ubisoft’s online summer showcase, Ubisoft Forward.

When we made the decision to create our online showcase, Ubisoft Forward, one of the challenges we faced was to get the games into the hands of players around the world in spite of the distance between us. Integrating Parsec’s technology has enabled us to deliver a high-quality, personalized experience for every demo of Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla — Philippe Dias, Technical Advisor, Ubisoft.

That’s right, feel Parsec’s power.

What resulted was a seamless experience only our technology could pull off: a demo-er plugged a gamepad into their device, and the Parsec integration connected them with machines running the latest builds of these titles with very little lag and an HD stream. People got to play from all over the world, and in some regions, Parsec was integrated directly into UPlay using our enterprise SDK.

It’s been a pretty humbling experience, switching perspectives from fans, soaking in every last bit of preview material we can get our eyes on, to partners in delivering them to the world. And there’s plenty more on the horizon: numerous conferences, tournaments, and expositions are using Parsec and Parsec for Teams as they transform into fully digital experiences.

We built Parsec to give folks the closest possible experience we can deliver to playing in the same room. We’re hard at work adding new tools, like improved admin management, enhanced user interface, and color & graphic additions to deliver this experience to guests and organizers of these remote events.
